Biscayne Bay Brewing has become the official beer partner for The Big Woof Festival. The local brewery will operate a Beer Garden at the two day event scheduled for Jan. 16 and 17, 2027, at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove. The partnership brings locally brewed beer to the festival grounds where guests can mingle with other dog lovers and attend various activities.
The collaboration extends beyond the festival weekend. The two organizations plan to host community events in Coconut Grove during the months before January. Biscayne Bay Brewing will also hold a celebration at its upcoming brewery and taproom near loanDepot park. Officials will announce details as specific dates are confirmed.
The partnership officially began on Sept. 20 at the South Florida’s Top Dog Search Launch Party. The event took place at the Bayshore Club. Attendees drank Biscayne Bay Brewing beer while gathering to launch the search for the festival’s 2027 official mascot.
Laura Pequignot, co founder of The Big Woof Festival, described the collaboration as a natural fit. “Part of what makes The Big Woof Festival special is that it gives people a reason to spend the day together,” Pequignot said. She noted that both entities are homegrown in Miami and value community connections. “The Beer Garden will add a fun, social element to the festival, but we’re equally excited to create experiences with them in the lead up to January.”
Sven Sommer, CEO of Biscayne Bay Brewing, stated that the brewery aims to celebrate the city through its products. “Partnering with The Big Woof Festival gives us an opportunity to bring our locally brewed beer to one of Miami’s most joyful community gatherings,” Sommer said. He added that the deal creates new ways for dog lovers to connect with the brewery before the main event.
Biscayne Bay Brewing was founded in Miami in 2012. The independent craft brewery produces beers inspired by the city. It serves as the official craft beer for the Miami Marlins. Its products are available at concessions in loanDepot park and through select retailers in South Florida.
The Big Woof Festival debuted at Regatta Park in January 2026. The event returns for a second year with programming designed for families and pet owners. The 2027 schedule will include dog sports, competitions, a pet marketplace, and adoption opportunities. The festival also supports PAWS4you Rescue and other local groups working to place dogs in homes.
