Kansas City Chiefs fans watched a controversial ending cost their team a victory on Sunday. A false start call against offensive tackle Jaylon Moore wiped out the final seconds of the game against the Denver Broncos. The penalty pushed the ball back five yards, changing the field position for the last play.

On the subsequent snap, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was sacked, ending the Chiefs' season with a 28-24 defeat. The call came after Denver had erased a double-digit deficit in the second half. The Broncos scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to take the lead, aided by a missed field goal from Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.

Brittany Mahomes expressed her frustration on social media following the final whistle. She posted a black screen with white text on her Instagram Stories to describe the officials' decision. "You can’t tell me you call that on the game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us," she wrote, accompanied by a smiling face emoji.

The quarterback's wife continued her critique in the same post, labeling the ruling the weakest she had ever witnessed. "That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can’t tell me otherwise," she stated. The comment section quickly filled with reactions from other fans who agreed with her assessment of the snap.

Head coach Andy Reid addressed the penalty during his post-game remarks. He described the flag as "one man’s opinion" and noted that he did not see a false start in the replay. Reid emphasized the impact of the team's total penalty yards, which exceeded 100 for the contest.

"I thought the guys battled like crazy. When it really came down to it, too many penalties," Reid said. He explained that the cumulative penalty yards placed the team in a poor position for the final touchdown attempt. The coaching staff will review the film to address the discipline issues before the next game.
