Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, an announcement the NFL, Apple Music, and the artist made on Monday. The event is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Jay-Z's production company, Roc Nation, has handled the halftime production since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension to continue in that role through 2029. Since taking over, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap artists. Last year's performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, included Bad Bunny, with guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.

The 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. That show also included cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. More recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.

Despite his ties to the league and previous performers, Jay-Z had never played at the Super Bowl before this announcement. The 25-time Grammy winner spent this year touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. His Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then performed two shows in London and one in Paris in September.

The tour concluded with two final shows on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those recent dates at the same venue will now serve as a preparation period for his upcoming Super Bowl set.
