Florida State fans will lose their top target before the season ends. Duce Robinson, the team’s leading receiver, is undergoing knee surgery that will sideline him for the remainder of the year. A person familiar with the decision confirmed the news on Tuesday.

Robinson is a senior at the 6-foot-6 receiver position. He finished the 2026 campaign with 24 catches for 438 yards and four scores. His previous year in 2025 saw him surpass 1,000 receiving yards, which earned him All-ACC honors.

The injury marks another setback for a program in transition. Florida State dismissed head coach Mike Norvell two days before the surgery announcement. Rick Stockstill, formerly the offensive scouting director, has taken over as the interim leader.

The roster loss hits hard before Saturday’s trip to Boston College. The Seminoles, currently 3-5 overall, will face the Eagles without Robinson. They are also missing two key running backs. Ousmane Kromah is out for the year, while Samuel Singleton Jr. remains on the injury list indefinitely.

Robinson returned to Tallahassee after transferring from USC to help stabilize the offense. The unit has struggled to find the same rhythm it displayed last season under quarterback Tommy Castellanos. New starter Ashton Daniels has faced challenges establishing chemistry with the receiving corps.
