Lamar Jackson took part in full practice on Wednesday, marking his first unrestricted session since suffering a leg injury on Oct. 4. The participation suggests the quarterback will start Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, offering a tangible change for a Baltimore team that has lost two consecutive games.
The Ravens have not yet issued official game status designations, which are scheduled for Friday. Until that report is released, Jackson remains technically available but unconfirmed as the starter. CBS Sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson reported earlier in the week that Jackson would play, a claim that aligns with the team's internal signals.
Baltimore has struggled without its two-time MVP. Under backup Tyler Huntley, the Ravens are 1-2 in the last three games. The most recent defeat was a 35-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, a game where Baltimore squashed a 13-0 halftime lead. The team currently sits with a 4-3 record heading into the second half of the season.
Teammates have voiced their confidence in Jackson's return. Running back Derrick Henry described Jackson as the heart and soul of the team. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley offered a measured perspective, stating the group does not want to rely on Jackson to carry the entire offense. Stanley said Jackson's return will be a big boost.
Other injury concerns persist on the roster. Defensive regulars are sitting out, raising questions about a unit that has been outscored in the second half of recent games. Rookie running back Adam Randall returned to practice, opening his 21-day window for activation from injured reserve.
The game is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 1, in Orchard Park, N.Y. CBS will broadcast the contest, with Ian Eagle handling play-by-play and Ross Tucker serving as the analyst. In the Baltimore-Washington market, the game will air on WJZ-TV.
The Ravens must announce their inactive list by 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. If Jackson remains a full participant through Friday's practice and carries no designation, the primary question shifts to his sharpness after a month away. A change in status would place Huntley in line for a fourth consecutive start.
