The University of Miami Hurricane Productions officially named rapper NLE Choppa as the headliner for the 2026 Homecoming concert. The announcement concluded weeks of speculation among the student body. Members of the organization gathered attendees at the Lakeside Patio on the morning of the reveal. At 6:30 p.m., staff dropped a promotional flyer from the third floor of the Donna E. Shalala Student Center. The release was accompanied by smoke effects and triggered loud cheers from the crowd below.

Prior to the public reveal, the production team released three digital clues on Instagram. The first hint referenced a jackpot, alluding to the artist declining a $3 million contract. The second clue identified Memphis, Tennessee, as the performer’s hometown and noted his background in high school basketball. The final hint used the song Camelot as a direct reference to the artist.

Georgina Paez, a junior majoring in media management, stated she had already purchased a ticket after analyzing the hints. She expressed excitement about attending the event. After the formal announcement, students moved to the Rat for a listening party. The venue played tracks including Shotta Flow, Camelot, Walk Em Down, and DO IT AGAIN.

Jake Sperling, the marketing coordinator for HP Live, described the reveal as an exciting moment. He noted that watching the banner drop from the Shalala terrace and hearing the student reaction was a highlight for the team. The university has hosted major musical acts in recent years, including A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Olivia O’Brien, Quavo, and Marshmello.

The concert is scheduled for Nov. 11 at the Watsco Center. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the performance beginning at 8 p.m. Entry requires a valid Cane Card. Trinity Vodovoz, the program lead for HP Live, instructed students to claim their tickets via email sent to their university accounts. The production team confirmed that tickets are free for all enrolled students.

An email sent to all students on Oct. 29 included a link to request tickets through Ticketmaster. An additional 1,500 floor seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The organization will also distribute physical tickets in the breezeway in the days before the show.
